It is especially found in rose plants. But this is the first case when a human has been infected by a fungal plant. It could not even be detected by traditional methods. It was detected through sequencing.

The report states that the transmission of this rare infection has occurred due to repeated exposure to contaminated substances. An abscess was found in the man’s neck which was removed with the help of surgery. However, after X-ray, nothing unusual was found in the body. After that the patient was given anti-fungal medicines. After being kept under observation for two years, the patient has now been declared completely healthy.
