Lava Pixel V2 Review

today we lava pixel v2 Will review. Pixel V2, launched in September last year, was introduced by the company as a mid-range camera smartphone. This smartphone has a 13 megapixel rear camera with front and rear flash. Know what shortcomings and advantages we saw in this phone in our Lava Pixel V2 review.
Look and Design
Lava Pixel V2 is sharp, simple and simple to look at. The edges of the phone are strong and the phone looks like it is made of ceramic and metal body. However, a closer look reveals that the rear and sides of the phone are made of plastic but look more premium. The phone is not too bad to look at, but in our view there are some shortcomings in the phone.

The front part of the phone is plain and it is difficult to hold the phone. There is no way to hold the phone conveniently and the speaker grill in the phone is also placed in a strange place. Pixel V2 cannot be called bad in any way but it is not very beautiful either.

The phone has power and volume buttons on the right side while there is a USB port at the bottom. 3.5 mm jack is given on the top. The single speaker grille is placed just below the Lava logo on the rear. Camera and flash are given on the top left side of the rear. The SIM tray and microSD slot can be seen by removing the rear panel. The phone’s battery can also be seen but it is not removable.

The Pixel V2 features a 5-inch IPS-LCD panel with 720×1280 pixel resolution. The display is sharp but not very bright and detailed. The color reproduction and tone in the display is also not very good. Capacitive Android buttons are given at the bottom.
Specifications and Software
Considering the price of Lava Pixel V2 smartphone, its specifications can be said to be a bit less. This phone has a quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor running at 1 GHz and 2 GB RAM. The 16 GB internal storage of the phone can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of microSD card. The phone comes with dual SIM support and has separate slots for two SIM cards and a microSIM card. Both SIM slots support India’s 4G bands on India 4G connectivity.

The V2 smartphone is powered by a 2500 mAh non-user-removable lithium polymer battery. A 5 watt charger comes with the phone.
Pixel V2 runs on Android 5.1 with Lava’s Star OS 2.0 layered on top. Its interface with app drawer is dual layered and a lot of customization options are provided for visual effects. Apart from wallpaper, you can change the general look and UI of the phone from icons to other effects through three themes. Along with this, the screen switch effect and home screen can also be changed for the app.

However, while setting the phone as per your convenience, you will also face many problems in this device. The old menu button has been used in place of the task switcher in the phone. For this you will have to press the home button for a long time. Changing and removing the home screen of the phone is also not easy. Some of the quick launches on the phone work well but overall we found its software to be very simple.
camera
Lava Pixel V2 has been introduced in the market as a camera phone. Its 13-megapixel camera equipped with dual LED flash is claimed to produce excellent photos. The phone also has an 8-megapixel secondary camera for selfies with flash. But the rear camera can record a maximum of 720p video while the front camera can record a maximum of 480p video.

The phone’s camera app is good and easy to use. To record video you have to press two buttons. The camera switcher and flash are easily accessible along with other modes. You can use options like manual setting and resolution control by going to the settings menu. Many modes like panorama, HDR are also present in the camera.
But the quality of pictures taken from the rear camera of the phone is average. The pictures are not as great as expected. The color and brightness in the pictures can only be said to be satisfactory. The detailing of photos taken with a phone of this price is also fine but cannot be called excellent. Photos taken indoors looked quite good. But those taken in daylight could have been better. Pictures taken from the front camera are also decent for a phone of this price.

performance
The MediaTek MT6735 processor in the Lava Pixel V2 works quite slowly at times, especially while working on multiple apps simultaneously. The phone works well during light games and internet usage. Therefore, the performance of the phone is fine as per the price.
During benchmark tests, we got similar figures to devices running on this processor.
The phone comes with 4G support and works great on 4G and Wi-Fi. Call quality and sound quality with headphones is also good. The single speaker is small and weak. Battery life is decent and lasted 8 hours and 11 minutes in our video loop test. At the same time, even during normal use, the phone’s battery drains quickly, especially (on 4G network) and there is a need to charge it by evening.

our decision
The Lava Pixel V2 is a simple smartphone at a low price. The look of the phone is not bad. It supports 4G and the camera is also fine. With front flash, different types of photos can be taken by shooting in multiple modes with the camera.
However, this phone cannot be called completely perfect. The phone has many shortcomings including average performance, poor battery life, average photo and video quality and an outdated UI. But if you are a normal smartphone user and want a good camera then Lava Pixel V2 is for you. However, for users who want a phone with more powerful and specifications, Yu Euphoria is a better option.
