Let us know what is new in IRCTC Rail Connect app.
In the new app, you will get rid of the tension of logging in again and again. Actually, for security reasons, now the user will have to setup a four-number PIN while installing the app for the first time. Now when you start a new session of a new mobile app, there will be no need to enter login ID and password again and again. Just entering the PIN will do the trick.
With the new app you will be able to book Tatkal tickets. Apart from this, facility of premium tatkal and women’s quota booking will also be available.
IRCTC website and app will now be completely synced. You will be able to view, cancel and file TDR tickets on any platform, whereas this was not possible earlier.
It is told that if you have booked the ticket from an official online travel agent, then you will be able to check the status of the e-ticket in the app. The app will also have the facility to change boarding point and current reservation.
Apart from other payment wallets, IRCTC e-wallet has also been integrated into the app for faster ticket booking.
Now the question is what will happen to the old app? There is no need to panic, the tickets booked from the old mobile app will also be visible in the new app and you can also cancel them if you wish.
How does this app work? Is it really meant to make booking tickets as fast and easy as it claims? We will give you the answers to these questions soon.
