Man trapped in fraud date from dating app pays rs 61000 in Mumbai club
This incident is said to have happened at Godfather Club in Andheri West, Mumbai, which has created an uproar on social media. Actually, a post has been made on X by a social activist, Deepika Narayan Bhardwaj which is going viral. This is indeed a shocking incident. According to the post, this fraud started from one of the popular dating apps like Tinder, Bumble, Hinge and OKCupid. A man talks to a woman here and the two soon become reconciled.
After this both plan to meet. The meeting place was fixed as Godfather Club in Andheri West. Allegedly, this club is chosen as the meeting place in a planned manner. After coming to the club, the woman orders very expensive orders from this restaurant which include expensive liquor, hookah etc. Whereas these things were not even listed in the menu. The man is unable to understand this trap to impress the woman.
After the order is placed, the woman suddenly leaves the restaurant and the man remains sitting there, bewildered. The bill handed over to the person by the restaurant was of Rs 61 thousand, which can also be seen in the pictures shared in the social media post. When the person refuses to pay the bill, the restaurant staff and bouncers start threatening him and ask for a compromise in the matter.
According to the report, many such clubs have their own network spread in Mumbai, which have been cheating people in the same way. Such clubs also reportedly employ PR personal who hire women to lure men through dating apps and trap them in similar situations. There are many cities like Delhi, Gurugram, Bengaluru, Hyderabad in which similar incidents keep coming to light. In June, a similar incident had happened with a student preparing for civil services in which he was trapped in a restaurant for a bill of Rs 1.2 lakh.
