Maruti Suzuki has More than 2.25 Lakh Pending Orders in May, Updated Swift Getting Strong Demand

Maruti Suzuki has pending orders for more than 2.25 lakh units. The company’s senior executive officer (marketing and sales), Partho Banerjee, said that more than 40,000 of these pending orders are for the recently launched new Swift. Apart from this, about 75,000 orders are for CNG variants. CNG cars contribute more than 32 percent to the company’s sales. It is getting a lot of demand for CNG variants of Brezza and Ertiga. The waiting period for these is four to six weeks. The number of arena sales outlets of the company has reached 3,000. It has these outlets in more than 2,500 cities and towns. The company opened the first Arena outlet in 2017.
The company has also opened Nexa dealerships to provide a more premium experience to the customers. It sells WagonR, Swift, Brezza, Dzire, Ertiga, Eeco, Alto K10, Celerio and S-Presso through the Arena network. Recently Maruti Suzuki launched a new version of hatchback Swift. Its starting price is Rs 6.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It is available in nine exterior color options, three dual-tone and two new luscious blue and novel orange colours. Along with the design changes in the new Swift, the engine has also been upgraded. Its interior has also been improved from the previous version. New features have also been provided in it.
The new Swift has a 1.2 liter 3-cylinder petrol engine. It generates power of 80 bhp and torque of 112 Nm. It is available in five-speed manual and five-speed AMT gearbox. The company has claimed its mileage to be more than 25 kmpl. It has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity. Its top variant has features like 9-inch touchscreen, 360 degree camera, wireless charging and rear AC vent. The new Swift has been provided with six airbags and electronic stability control for safety.
