Maruti Suzuki Launches New Swift With Many Features, Starting Price of Rs 6.49 Lakh
It will be available in nine exterior color options, three dual-tone and two new Luscher Blue and Novel Orange colours. Along with the design changes in the new Swift, the engine has also been upgraded. Its interior has also been improved from the previous version. New features have also been provided in it. Compared to the previous model of Swift, it is 15 mm longer and 30 mm higher. Its front bumper has been redesigned. It has smoked LED headlamps and DRL. Below these are fog lamps with splitter. Its rear has a redesigned tailgate and new bumper.
Maruti Suzuki has given 1.2 liter 3-cylinder petrol engine in the new Swift. It generates power of 80 bhp and torque of 112 Nm. It is available in five-speed manual and five-speed AMT gearbox. The company has claimed its mileage to be more than 25 kmpl. It has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity. The top variant of the new Swift will have features like 9-inch touchscreen, 360 degree camera, wireless charging and rear AC vent. All its variants have six airbags and electronic stability control for safety.
The company’s sales in April increased by 4.7 percent to 1,68,089 units. The company’s passenger vehicle sales in the country stood at 1,37,952 units. It had sold 1,37,320 units in the same period last year. However, its sales have declined in the mini segment. Last month, Maruti Suzuki’s sales in the compact segment also declined to 56,953 units. In the same month last year, the company had sold 74,935 units. In this segment the company has Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S and WagonR. It has performed well in the utility vehicles segment. Maruti Suzuki’s sales in this segment increased to 56,953 units. In the same month last year it was 36,754 units. Last month the company’s exports increased to 22,160 units. In the same period last year, Maruti Suzuki had exported 16,971 units.
