It will pass very close to the Earth, whose distance is said to be 626,000 kilometers. The size of the asteroid is 31 feet, which is as big as a bus. This rocky sphere is moving towards the earth today. Its speed is stated to be 44262 kilometers per hour. It is very small in size, so it is not likely to cause any harm to the Earth.

Apart from this, an asteroid will again pass close to the Earth after two days. This asteroid is approximately three times larger than 2023 JD. This means that this asteroid can prove to be much more dangerous. Its name is 2023 HT4 which is 250 feet in size. It is going to pass through the Earth on May 12. According to JPL, when it will reach the closest point to the Earth while rotating in its orbit, its distance will be 6,070,000 kilometers.

According to NASA, if an asteroid larger than 150 feet comes near the Earth, it can be very dangerous. Whereas the size of Asteroid 2023 HT4 is 250 feet. That means it is quite large in size and scientists are on alert mode regarding this. It is said about asteroids that the chances of them colliding with the Earth are very less. But sometimes it is said that small asteroids can enter the Earth’s atmosphere. The size of an asteroid can range from 50 feet to 550 feet. In such a situation, sometimes these asteroids can bring with them a big danger. At present, NASA has not released any information about any asteroid hitting the Earth directly.
