Motorola One Fusion+ vs Poco X2: cameras comparison
These days, most new mid-range smartphones have four rear cameras and these two devices are no different. Both come equipped with a quad rear camera setup equipped with a 64-megapixel primary sensor and both offer 16-megapixel pixel-binned shots. Both have 8-megapixel wide-angle cameras and 2-megapixel depth sensors. However, here Motorola One Fusion+ The Poco X2 has a 5-megapixel macro camera, while the Poco X2 has a 2-megapixel macro camera. The camera apps of these two devices are slightly different, but are easy to use.

We have used both the smartphones in the same conditions and seen what difference is there in the photos or videos. Both the smartphones were fast in locking focus and metering light in daylight. The pictures taken from both the smartphones had good details, but Poco X2 The artificial intelligence on the Poco X2 (Review) was a little too aggressive for my liking, boosting contrast too much. The wide-angle camera on the Poco X2 performed better. It delivered better detail than the Motorola One Fusion+ and surprisingly didn’t boost colours too aggressively.

Coming to closeups, we found the Motorola One Fusion+ to be quick to focus on the subject, while the Poco X2 struggled a bit here. Both phones handled depth of field well, but the AI on the Poco X2 boosted the colour in the photos to a point that made them look a bit artificial. When shooting portraits, it was the Motorola One Fusion+ that accurately recognised edges and colours.
For macro shots, the Motorola One Fusion+ was better as it offers a higher resolution. Hence, there was no lack of detail in the pictures.

The low-light performance of the Motorola One Fusion+ is not very good. The Poco X2 managed to capture very bright photos with better detail. With Night mode enabled, the quality of the Motorola One Fusion+ also jumped, but the Poco X2 still offered better detail here. The low-light photos taken with it also had less grain.

In low-light closeups, the Motorola One Fusion+ captured pretty natural-looking colours and good detail.

The Motorola One Fusion+ gets a 16-megapixel selfie camera that pops out via a pop-up when needed, while the Poco X2 gets a 20-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. In daylight, the Motorola One Fusion+ delivered better results, while the Poco X2’s selfies had a yellow tinge. Even in low light, the Poco X2’s shots had a slightly warm (yellow) layer, but the Motorola One Fusion+’s photos were full of detail.
Both phones can record 4K videos. In daylight, when shooting at 1080p, the video output was stable on both phones. Colours are good on the Poco X2, while footage from the Motorola One Fusion+ was sharp. 4K videos are good on both these devices, but the Poco X2’s output showed slight shimmering. Low-light video performance was slightly better on the Poco X2 in both 1080p as well as 4K video recording.
