Mukesh Bansal calls his two-year journey at Flipkart a ‘fairy tale’

Along with Mukesh Bansal, Flipkart’s Chief Business Officer Ankit Nagori has also resigned from the company. Both the senior officials have said that they are doing this to start their new company. However, Mukesh Bansal will first spend time with his family. He has planned to take a leave for the next 3-6 months.
Various speculations are being made about Mukesh Bansal’s resignation a few weeks after the top-level reshuffle at Flipkart. In this reshuffle, the company’s former Chief Operating Officer Binny Bansal was made the CEO of the company. After this, there were reports that Mukesh was angry at Binny Bansal being given the post of CEO. However, in his letter, he said, “Binny will work to take Flipkart forward along with the top officials and talented employees associated with the company.”
Mukesh Bansal said that he will leave the company at the end of March. Nagori, on the other hand, will remain associated with the company till the next quarter.
Bansal, a computer science graduate from IIT Kanpur, founded Myntra in 2007. He later sold it to Flipkart. Bansal joined Flipkart when it acquired fashion e-tailer Myntra in 2014 and will continue to be an advisor to the company.
