Nasa Curiosity Rover finds another proof of water on Mars scientists said big think
Scientists from France, America and Canada have Study Which is published in the journal Nature published Has happened. Nina Lanza, one of the authors involved in the study, said that the cracks in the soil try to explain to us about the time when some amount of liquid water was present on Mars.
The ChemCam instrument mounted on the ‘Curiosity’ rover helped in detecting soil cracks. Scientists believe that water was present in Mars until the cracks in the soil formed. This means that these cracks may be several crores of years old.
This is not the first time that evidence related to the presence of water on Mars has been found. Earlier this year, NASA
Looking at the pictures of Mars that were shared, it seemed that there must have once been a lake of water on the Red Planet. NASA also believed that Mars might have had a lake in the past. The evidence was found in an area of Mars known as the Sulfate Bearing Unit. Earlier researchers were assuming that the rocks formed here were shrinking. Later they came to know that it was a sign of some ancient source of water.
NASA has even speculated for Mars that there might have once been an ocean on Mars. However, the new discovery further strengthens the fact that Mars was also once habitable.
