Nasa James Webb Telescope discovered carbon CO2 on the moon of Jupiter
Europa is very important for our scientists. The US space agency is exploring one of Jupiter’s largest moons through several missions. A large subsurface ocean of salty liquid water may exist here. Because of this, it holds a prominent place in the list of scientists for the discovery of life.
Till now it was not known whether carbon, one of the main chemicals responsible for the existence of life, is present in Europa’s ocean or not. The new discovery also suggests a connection between Europa’s surface and its subsurface ocean. NASA’s report states that the highest amount of carbon dioxide has been found in an area called Tara Regio of Europa.
Scientists say this discovery will help determine whether Europa may be better suited to detect the presence of life. Scientists are believing that this could be a good place for life. The current discovery may also help future missions. ,
NASA plans to launch the Europa Clipper mission in the year 2024. This mission will explore Europa better. It will find out how much possibility of life exists in Europa.
