Asus has launched Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3. This device has an octacore MediaTek 8183 processor. It is believed that this device has been launched to compete with Lenovo Chromebook Duet which runs on ChromeOS only. The specifications of Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3 are also very similar to Lenovo Chromebook. But some additional features have also been given in it which take it a little further. This device has been listed on the Asus website in the US. The company has not given any information about when it will be launched in other regions.

Its 64 GB and 128 GB storage models are priced at $349.99 (approximately Rs 25,500) and $369.99 (approximately Rs 27,000) respectively. The company has given only one color option of Mineral Grey.

The Asus Chromebook Detachable CM3 features a 10.5-inch (1,920X1,200 pixels) LCD display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 320 nits of display brightness. It also has a stylus sport which is provided inside the Chromebook itself. It has an octacore MediaTek 8183 processor paired with Arm Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. This Chromebook has 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB eMMC onboard storage. Its detachable keyboard gets attached to the device through POGO pin and looks like a case/cover. Apart from this, a dual hinged kickstand is also provided in the rear. It is also detachable and fabric covered. It works in both portrait and landscape modes. Talking about the camera, it has an 8-megapixel camera at the back and a 2-megapixel camera at the front for selfies and videocalling.

For connectivity, it has a 3.5mm audio jack and a USB 2.0 Type-C port. This Chromebook has a 27Whr 2-cell Li-ion battery that can be charged via a Type-C port or a 45W AC adapter. Its size is 25.54×16.72×0.79cm and weight is 510 grams.
