New leaked images of Samsung Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ reveal design

According to previous leaks, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 will have a screen with a screen resolution of 1440×2960 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Samsung Galaxy S8 can have a 5.8 inch screen while Galaxy S8+ can have a 6.2 inch screen. Recently, a trademark disclosure spotted at the USPTO had revealed that Samsung may name its new screen as ‘Infinity Display’. The ‘Infinity Display’ will feature Samsung’s FullVision display technology, which was first introduced by LG in its new LG G6. Leaked images of the Galaxy S8 claimed to feature the tallest and thinnest display on the handset.
The new leaked image shows two SIM cards or a microSD card slot at the top. While a speaker grill and a 3.5mm audio jack along with a USB Type-C port can be seen on the panel at the bottom. An iris scanner is also visible in the new leaked photos. And it looks like both the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ will come with biometric authentication.
A recent leak claimed that Samsung has postponed the release date of the Galaxy S8 series smartphones by a week to April 28.
The company will launch Samsung Galaxy S8 at the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2017 event to be held on March 29. This event will start at 9.30 pm Indian time in New York.
