Nothing to Unveil Something New on March 20 Carl Pei Says Industry First

Just a few weeks after launching the Nothing Phone 2a, Nothing CEO Carl Pei has said that something new is coming soon. In the style of Nothing, Pei indicated that the company will introduce something this week. Nothing posted a video on X releasing the teaser. The company has not disclosed anything about this upcoming offering except the date. Nothing recently launched the Phone 2a in India, which is the company’s first budget smartphone.

Nothing’s official The snippet shows Pei chatting with Julie Duan, who is a short form content manager at Nothing, according to her LinkedIn bio. Pei captioned this short video ‘An industry first’. As part of the conversation, Duan can be heard asking Pei, “So I think this is a first in the industry. Why do you think other companies didn’t do this earlier?” Responding to Duane, the Chief of Nothing simply says, “Well, it’s uh…” after which the screen blacks out. According to the teaser, it will be announced on March 20.

The post has been viewed more than 1,30,000 times in the last 24 hours. The comment section inside this post is full of all kinds of speculations. The Nothing team has not given any specific time for the announcement. Nothing may announce a new app or software tomorrow.

In the first week of March this year, the company launched the budget-friendly Nothing Phone 2a with MediaTek Dimensity 7200 Pro SoC chipset, 5000mAh battery and new Glyph LED design. The price of both variants of this smartphone is Rs 25,999 and Rs 27,999. Soon after the launch of Nothing’s Phone 2a, Nothing’s sub-brand CMF introduced two wearable devices. Neckband Pro which comes with 50dB hybrid active noise cancellation (ANC) and CMF Buds which come with 42dB ANC support.
