Now soft and flexible keyboard will come

Till now you might have worked on a hard plastic keyboard, due to which sometimes you might have felt pain in your hand, but a soft and flexible keyboard will soon give you relief from this. Scientists at Auckland University have created a very flexible and soft keyboard from a special type of rubber.

According to Daniel Xu, co-author of this research, “This keyboard is a thin sheet of a special rubber (dielectric emulsion).”

This keyboard, with a single layer structure, is composed of two sensing layers oriented at an angle of 90 degrees. It is able to quickly take advantage of the mechanical coupling system through electrical separation.

The surface of this sensor keyboard is divided into 9 different sensing areas.

Researchers have used this rubber in video games to test its functionality, and as a separate project, sensory gloves have also been created that will be used in future shooting games.

A company called ‘StretchSense’ is manufacturing many wearable items with Sense Stretching technology.

This study has been published in the journal ‘Smart Materials and Structures’.
