Ola Electric, one of the large electric two-wheeler companies, has entered the segment of electric motorcycle. The company on Wednesday launched Roadster X and Roadster X+. The initial price of this motorcycle is Rs 74,999 (ex-showroom). Its delivery will be started in March.

Roadster X has been brought to three variants – 2.5 kwh, 3.5 kwh and 4.5 kwh. The top speed of 2.5 kwh of Roadster X is 105 km/h, 3.5 kwh and 4.5 kwh variants of 118 km/h. The peak power output of this motorcycle is 9.38 HP. The 2.5 kwh battery variant of Roadster X is priced at Rs 74,999, Rs 84,999 of 3.5 kwh and Rs 95,999 of 4.5 kwh (ex-showroom).

Ola Electric has provided Roadster X+ in two battery variants of 4.5 khh and 9.1 kwh. Its peak power output is 14.75 HP. The top speed of this electric motorcycle is 125 km/h. It can only reach a speed of 0-40 km/h in 2.7 seconds. Its 4.5 kwh battery variants are about 252 km and about 500 km of 9.1 kwh variants. The price of 4.5 KWH of Roadster X+ is Rs 1,04,999 (ex-showroom) and Rs 1,54,999 (ex-showroom) of 9.1 kwh.

The company’s chairman, Bhavish Aggarwal said, “After making major changes in the scooter market and making EV popular, our motorcycles’ roadster series will increase the reach of EV. This will change the mobilti in urban and rural areas.” In January, Ola Electric has again secured a leading position in this segment with 22,656 registrations. At the end of last year, Ola Electric increased its sales and service networks. The company also offered discounts in January. The sales of Ola Electric have increased by about 65 percent on a month-by-month basis. In January, the company’s market share rose to about 25 percent. Recently the company also launched new electric scooters under the S1 brand.
