OnePlus to Launch Ace 5, Ace 5 Pro to Launch Soon, May Get Upcoming Qualcomm Processor

Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro of OnePlus, one of the big smartphone companies, can be launched soon. OnePlus’ Ace series smartphones have not been introduced outside China. Upcoming smartphones can also be brought in China only. OnePlus Ace 5 may have the existing chipset, while Ace 5 Pro may have Qualcomm’s upcoming chipset.

Tipster Digital Chat Station posted a post on China’s messaging platform Weibo. Post It is reported that OnePlus Ace 5 may have Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. This chipset has also been used in Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra and some other smartphones. The upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 can be given in Ace 5 Pro. Earlier, some leaks had suggested that OnePlus Ace 5 may have a 6.78 inch 1.5K LTPO display. It can be provided with a triple rear camera unit with a 50-megapixel primary camera. The 6,200 mAh dual-cell battery of this smartphone can be with support for 100 W wired fast charging.

Smartphone shipments in the first half of the current year increased by 7.2 percent on year-on-year basis to about 69 million units. Smartphone shipments in the second quarter grew by about 3.2 percent to about 35 million units. According to the report of market research firm International Data Corporation (IDC), many new smartphones have been launched in the second quarter. Most of these were in the mid-premium and premium segments. However, shipments of entry-level smartphones (priced below Rs 8,400) declined 36 percent year-on-year in the second quarter. The market share of this segment has come down from 22 percent in the same quarter last year to around 14 percent. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has the highest share in this segment. Shipments in the budget segment (priced around Rs 8,400 to Rs 16,800) of smartphones have grown nearly 8 percent year-on-year. Xiaomi is at the forefront in this segment also. After this there are Realme and Vivo of China. The entry-premium segment (priced around Rs 16,800 to Rs 33,500) has seen the highest increase of 42 percent. In this, Chinese smartphone maker Oppo is at the forefront. After this there are Vivo and Samsung.
