oppo f1 A perfect selfie can be taken with the help of wide aperture and some easy software tricks from the front camera of the smartphone. Today in our review we will know that this smartphone is a selfie based phone. Asus And how different it is from other brands.

Look and Design
Talking about the body and design of the phone, F1 looks fantastic. With metal body look, it gives the feel of a premium smartphone. The phone is very light with a weight of 134 grams. The phone fits very easily in the hand. Buttons are well placed with easy grip. The volume rocker and power button are placed on separate sides and work well.

Talking about the front part of the phone, the 5 inch HD IPS display gives good colors indoors but the screen does not look so clear in sunlight. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. There is also a notification LED on the top right corner, and capacitive buttons (without backlight) for navigation on the bottom.

Oppo F1 has a 13-megapixel sensor camera with LED flash and aperture F/2.2. The speaker grill is at the bottom. The phone has a non-removable 2500 mAh battery. Oppo F1 is available in Gold and Rose Gold color variants. On the right side of the phone is the hybrid SIM tray, which means you’ll have the option to choose between a second SIM and a microSD card.

Talking about the physical features of the phone, we did not find any shortcomings in it. Oppo has designed the phone in a better way. The visibility of the phone’s display could have been improved in daylight and backlight in the navigation buttons could have made this phone even better. Along with the Oppo F1, you will get a standard 5-watt charger, a silicone case, a headset, and a booklet. The quality of all the accessories that come with the phone is good except the headset.

Specifications and Software
Oppo F1 is one of the few phones in the smartphone market in which Snapdragon 615 processor was first given. This new octa-core processor from Qualcomm is almost similar to the Snapdragon 615 processor but its clock speed is slightly higher.

Apart from this, this smartphone also has 3 GB RAM and 16 GB onboard storage. Storage can be expanded up to 128 GB with the help of microSD card. The phone has 4G VoLTE support on bands 1, 3 and 40. Talking about connectivity, features like Wi-Fi B/G/N, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, FM radio and GPS have been provided. NFC support is not present in the phone.

Oppo F1 smartphone has been given Android Lollipop. The phone has a single layer interface that can be customized with different themes and effects. Apart from this, this smartphone of Oppo has features like Security Center to monitor data usage, free up memory, O-Cloud for backup of contacts and messages, Kingsoft Office for working on documents and spreadsheets and Theme Store for customizing the phone. Options are given.

performance
The general performance of Oppo F1 smartphone is very good. The interface works smoothly and there was no problem in the app even during multitasking. The phone worked well on 4G and was better most of the time. But the phone gets heated while using the camera continuously during video playback and video recording. We did not face any problem in the call quality of the phone.

The benchmark figures of the phone were fine. There was no problem with the phone even while playing games. The phone did not face any problems even while playing games like Dead Trigger 2 and Alto Adventure. On average, 2 GB RAM is available in the phone for apps.

The headset that comes with Oppo F1 is of poor quality and does not fit properly in the ear. But the audio quality of the phone is very good. There is no software to enhance audio in the phone. The rear speaker on the phone is loud enough for alerts but since it is not a stereo speaker it is not fun while watching a movie.

With the 13-megapixel camera of Oppo F1, we got clear and detailed photos in daylight. The detailing of photos looked good even in indoor light. But the pictures taken in low light did not look very clear. We saw the same problem with videos recorded in low light. Many other camera modes have been provided in the phone including Expert Mode, Slow Shutter and HDR.

The most important feature of Oppo F1 is its front camera. The 8 megapixel front camera with a larger aperture than the rear camera is fantastic. Selfies taken from the phone in both natural and artificial light come with a lot of detail but in low light the quality deteriorates a bit. Oppo has included some new features so that people can take better selfies.

battery life
During our video loop test, the phone’s battery lasted 8 hours 53 minutes, which is quite good for a 2500 mAh battery. Whereas during normal use on 4G, we needed to charge the battery after just a day. But there is no fast charging support in the phone due to which the phone takes a lot of time to charge.

our decision
Priced at Rs 15,990, the Oppo F1 is a great phone. The overall performance of the phone is good. The design and build of the phone is good. The general performance of the phone is also good and both the rear and front cameras produce good quality images in almost all lighting conditions. The battery life of the phone is also quite good. If Oppo had provided NFC and navigation buttons with backlight in the phone, the phone could have been better.

Oppo F1 competes in this price range asus zenfone selfie (Review). The Asus Zenfone Selfie also has a better camera but it doesn’t have as great specifications as the Oppo.
