In Delhi, traffic challans will be sent to people on WhatsApp. Delhi Governor VK Saxena has also given orders to start the process soon, after which traffic challans will be sent on WhatsApp. LG VK Saxena has also given the reason behind why this is being done.

The process of sending traffic challans on WhatsApp may start soon in Delhi. In view of the increasing traffic burden and violation of rules in Delhi, the Governor has ordered that traffic challans will be sent to the people of Delhi on the Messenger app. PTI According to him, LG Saxena has taken such a step in view of illegal parking on roadsides, flyovers etc. in Delhi.

During a meeting, LG said that illegal parking of vehicles is seen at many places in Delhi. Buses are parked on flyovers. This causes trouble to other people, and the smoke coming out of the vehicles further increases pollution. LG said during the meeting that the traffic police should ensure that the rules are followed on the roads. For this, traffic police officers should be deployed, a joint team should be formed by the department. It should be ensured that commercial vehicles do not run overloaded on the roads, and passenger buses should not be filled with passengers beyond their capacity.

The purpose behind starting traffic challan on Whatsapp is that the person who is challaned should get the information as soon as possible, i.e. the challan should reach the violators with immediate effect. This will also give the challan recipient the facility to pay the challan. He will be able to pay the challan from anywhere, at any time. This will also bring awareness and responsibility towards traffic rules among people. Now it has to be seen what effect this new initiative has on the residents of Delhi and the traffic conditions here.
