Rahul Gandhi’s number of followers on Twitter decreased due to ‘government pressure’

According to a news agency report, Rahul has said that his followers have become almost stable since August 2021. Earlier, his followers were increasing at the rate of more than 2.3 lakh every month. In a few months this number had even reached 6.5 lakh. He has also sent the data analysis of his Twitter account. It is told that after August last year, the number of his followers has hardly increased. Currently it is 19.6 million.
Considering the decline in the number of his followers as not just a coincidence, Rahul said that many of his videos were also dropped. In one of those videos, Rahul Gandhi had told the farmers that all three agricultural laws would be repealed. That video also went viral.
It is noteworthy that Twitter had also suspended Rahul Gandhi’s account for about a week from August 6 to August 14. The reason for this was the tweet in which he had allegedly shared the picture of the family of a rape victim from New Delhi on Twitter.
In response to Rahul Gandhi’s letter, Twitter spokesperson has said that we also want the number of followers to be visible with the account, but we also believe that the followers should be genuine. Twitter has no room for manipulation and spam. We weed out bot followers and spam every week using machine learning tools. Twitter has said that we remove millions of accounts every week for violating our policies on platform manipulation and spam.
