Rail Madad Integrate Sanchar Saathi for Phone Safety Train Railway Station by Dot and RPF

The incident of losing or theft at the railway or station is very common. Integration of Rail Madad and Sanchar Saathi provides convenience to passengers. Those traveling in the train can file a complaint of lost or stolen phone through the Rail Madad app. The information of these complaints will be transferred to the communication partner portal, which makes it easier to block, trace the device and generate alert for RPF recovery. For this initiative, more than 250 officers of 17 railway zones and 70+ divisions have been added to the communication partner portal, which helps in recovery operation.
These achievements have been made so far through the CEIR module. Till date, 3 million mobile devices were blocked. 18 lakh devices were traced. 3.87 lakh devices were recovered and returned to their real owners.

Sanchar Saathi platform provides the facility of stolen or blocked mobile phones, which can prevent misuse. Along with this, tracing and recovery are also easy. Integration with rail help provides an easy complaint system for passengers. Recently, during the training session organized for RPF officers, the main features and benefits of the communication partner were discussed. The officers of Dot’s LSA Field Unit also joined it and got information about technology solutions to deal with the upcoming challenges.
