Railway ticket booking started on IRCTC website and app, this is the method

After logging in, go to the Book your ticket box and type your destination. Now select the date of travel and coach class. However, while booking the ticket, keep in mind that currently only 15 trains will run from Delhi and they will go only to the 15 places mentioned above.

Now the list will appear in front of you. The Railway Ministry has said that only AC coaches will be available in the train. Now click on Check availability and you will also see the availability of the train. If seats are available, then proceed with the process of booking your ticket by clicking on Book Now.

Now a new web page will appear in which you will have to fill passenger related information like name, age, gender and date of birth etc. Here IRCTC also gives you other options like book only when confirmed berths are allotted, auto-upgrade, prefer coach etc. Here you will also get travel insurance related options. Now scroll down and enter your mobile number and captcha code and click on Continue.

Now you will be able to review your booking, which will include name, train, berth and other details. After this click on Continue Booking.

Now a new page will appear, where you will get the option to pay for the ticket. Here you can choose your preferred mode, such as credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI and others. You will see the fare of your ticket on the right side of the screen. After making the payment, you will see the information related to your ticket, which includes the name of the train, coach number and berth number etc. You can download the ticket, the option of which will be available there. Apart from this, you will also be given information about this ticket on your registered mobile number.

How to book train tickets on IRCTC mobile app

Booking tickets through the mobile app is also very easy, for which you have to click on the Login button like the website. Here you have to sign-in by entering your email ID and password along with the captcha code. If you do not have an account, you can also create a new account by clicking on the Register button, in which you have to fill all the information given above.

After logging in, click on Plan my journey and then search for trains by entering the station name, destination and date. You can choose your coach type by tapping on Name of the train. After this, you will see the list of available trains on the selected date. If seats are available, proceed with the ticket booking process. On the next page, you will have to fill in the passenger’s name, mobile number and other information.

Finally, you will get the option to make payment, in which you can choose your preferred mode. After this, complete the payment by entering the captcha code. Now you will get all the information related to your ticket.
