Starting with the design, the body of Realme 11X 5G is made of polycarbonate, but the finish of the back panel looks like glass. In this, when light falls on the panel, glitter effect and lines similar to the letter ‘S’ are visible, which the company calls ‘S-curve Gradiant’ design. We have the Purple Dawn color variant of the phone for review, which shows shades of blue and purple when illuminated. The good thing is that despite having a reflective panel, fingerprints are not visible on it.
There is a large circular camera module on the rear panel, which includes two camera sensors and a flash unit. Realme 11X comes with a boxy design. The company calls it a ‘right angle bezel design’, which is designed for a comfortable grip. Even after the glass finish, it does not slip much from the hand, but still if you feel a little scared, you can use the black tinted silicone cover found in the phone box.

The device has a fingerprint sensor on the power button itself, which was working fast without any problem in my initial use. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack, USB Type-C port and speaker grill at the bottom and a triple slot tray on the left side of the frame, in which two SIMs and a microSD card can be installed. Realme says that its storage can be expanded up to 2TB.
Realme 11X 5G comes with MediaTek Dimensity 6100+ chipset, which was launched in July this year. This chipset is built on 6nm process and works on 8-cores. The smartphone with this chipset should do good multi-tasking and casual gaming. However, to know the full truth about the performance, you will have to wait for our review. 11X 5G is offered with 6GB and 8GB RAM options and 128GB storage.

Realme 11X 5G comes with a 6.72-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display, which claims to offer up to 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling rate. It supports peak brightness up to 550°. During my initial time with the phone, I found the display to be bright enough in both indoor and outdoor lighting conditions. The colors were also vivid. There are three options for adjusting the display refresh rate – 120Hz, 60Hz and an Auto-Select, which automatically adjusts the refresh rate depending on the content playing on the screen. My initial display experience on the auto-select option was good.
In my short time with the phone, the display gets bright enough for use indoors but not easily readable when used outside during the day. It gives good colors and is quite sharp. The 120Hz refresh rate also helps with a smooth user experience.

The dual rear camera setup of the smartphone has a 64-megapixel main sensor with f/1.79 aperture. I took some pictures with this sensor and found that in good lighting the pictures were good enough to upload directly to Instagram. The camera can record videos up to 1080p 30fps. A 2-megapixel portrait sensor with f/2.4 aperture is also provided in the setup. Features like 64MP mode, night mode, street mode, text scanner, tilt shift were present in the camera app. Even though the phone falls in the affordable segment, there are few models in the competition that give you an ultrawide lens in this price range.
The Realme 11X 5G comes with an 8-megapixel front camera, which captured good photos in daylight. However, we will give you all the details from post-processing to quality of both the rear and front setup in our full review.
The 11X 5G has a 5,000mAh battery, which supports 33W fast charging. You get a 33W charging brick inside the box. In initial usage, this battery lasted me a whole day comfortably. However, you will have to wait for our review to see how well this battery holds up under heavy usage and also how much time it takes to fully charge it.
Talking about software, Realme 11X 5G runs on Android 13-based Realme UI 4.0. On first boot I noticed a lot of bloatware. However, most of these apps could be uninstalled. In my initial use I didn’t get spammed by notifications.
The smartphone comes with almost all the basic connectivity options, such as 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, and USB Type-C port. Its thickness is 7.89mm and weight is 190 grams.
