Reliance Jio started its services in September. Since then, customers and rival telecom companies are waiting for the time when Reliance Jio will start charging for its services. Now, finally after last week’s announcement, Reliance Jio’s regular plans will be implemented from April 1. However, now customers can recharge for Jio Prime subscription which will be available from March 1 to March 31. A fee of Rs 99 will have to be paid for Jio Prime subscription and its validity will be till 31 March 2018.

After all, what is Jio Prime subscription? This is a special offer which will extend the offers under the Happy New Year Plan offered by Reliance Jio for one more year. Under Jio Prime plan, you can get unlimited internet (1 GB per day on high-speed) for just Rs 303 by paying a monthly fee. If you do not take Jio Prime by the end of the month, you will have to port to the regular Jio plan. And for that you will have to pay for the Jio tariff plan mentioned earlier.

So, how to recharge Jio Prime? The answer to this is very flat. Follow these steps to get Prime subscription on your Jio number.

1. Launch MyJio app on your device with Reliance Jio SIM
2. If you have an old app, you need to update the app first
3. On the next screen, you will see a list of Jio apps. MyJio app will be at the top in this list.
4. Tap the Open button next to MyJio.
5. After this you will have to sign in – remember that your Jio number is your username. And if you have not set a password before, you will have to do so.
6. On the app’s home screen, tap ‘Recharge’ at the bottom left. If you’re on another screen, tap the menu button at the top left, and then tap Jio Prime.
7. Select Jio Prime by tapping on the Rs 99 button.
8. After this choose the payment option and complete the payment

Once the payment is completed, your Jio Prime subscription will be activated.

We faced difficulty in the last step as we were continuously getting error messages from the server. This may also be due to many people signing up for Jio Prime. But remember that you have a whole month to sign up, so there’s no need to worry. If there is a problem with the subscription, try again later, tomorrow or next week.

Under your Reliance Jio Happy New Year offer, you will get free services for the entire month of March. But after March you will have to pay Rs 303, due to which you will get 1 GB data every day. There are many more Jio Prime plans under this offer for which you can recharge.
