Report, WhatsApp users may get this new feature soon

The world’s most popular messenger app WhatsApp recently launched the dark mode feature for its users and now if the new report is to be believed, the company is working on a new feature for the users. This feature will automatically delete the message after the end of the time set by the users. This feature is currently visible, but users cannot use it at this time.

One of WABetaInfo Report It has been reported that this auto-deleting feature has been seen in Android beta versions 2.20.83 and 2.20.84. In the screenshot shared in the report, we can clearly see that the user can choose several options for the period for deleting messages, which includes one hour, one day, one week, one month or one year. Users can currently set their private chat messages to be automatically deleted as per the period. The report further states that the team of developers is working rapidly on this feature for the users.

The convenience provided by this feature will initially be available only for group chats. Messages can be deleted only by the administrator of the group. Once the feature is implemented, the feature can be turned on or off in group settings.

It is expected that once the feature becomes available, WhatsApp may also provide an on or off button for the delete message feature, through which it can be set up in one step. Along with this, as we mentioned above, users can also choose a set time for the messages to disappear automatically, which can include a period of one hour, one day, one week, one month or up to a year.
