Review of Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime: Five special things

Xiaomi launched its new smartphone Redmi 3S in India last month for less than Rs 10,000. Through the two budget smartphones of Redmi series, Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime, the company intends to strengthen its hold in the smartphone category priced below Rs 10,000. The price of Xiaomi Redmi 3S is Rs 6,999 and the price of Redmi 3S Prime is Rs 8,999.

We got a chance to review Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime. This phone has more RAM, more storage and a fingerprint sensor at a lower price. 1. Great looks and good build
Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime looks like a mini variant of Redmi Note 3 from every aspect. This phone is made of completely metal body, which gives it a premium feel even though it is a budget device. Weighing 144 grams, the Redmi 3S is a bit heavy for a budget device. But its curved edges make it comfortable to hold. The extra weight of the phone can be ignored thanks to the large battery provided in it.

2. Quick and accurate response fingerprint scanner
One of the biggest differences between Redmi 3S and Redmi 3S Prime is the absence of fingerprint in Redmi 3S. The round sensor given on the rear in Redmi 3S Prime is easy to use in every way. During our review process, we never faced any problem in unlocking the phone with the fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner of the Redmi 3S Prime worked well even with water-soaked fingers.

3. Excellent battery life
The biggest feature of Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime is the 4100 mAh battery provided in it. And the battery backup provided in this handset was quite impressive. We were able to use the 4100 mAh non-removable battery for a whole day on full charge. Even after this, some percent of battery was left in the phone.

4. The phone gets hot while using the camera
The camera performance of Xiaomi Redmi 3S was satisfactory. We especially liked the indoor shots in good light. However, photos taken in low light looked washed out. The phone got a little hot while using the camera app but we did not face any problem in using the phone due to this. It is worth noting that there was no problem of heat while charging the phone and while talking on calls.

5. Hybrid SIM Slot
Hybrid SIM slot is provided in Redmi 3S Prime. This means that you will be able to use either a micro SIM and a nano SIM or a microSD card. That means the user will have to choose between a second SIM and a microSD card.

This quick review of Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime will definitely be useful for you. For more information, read the review of this smartphone in detail.
