Samsung introduces the world’s first 4000 nits QD OLED TV display

The largest technology fair, Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2025) is starting in Las Vegas from this week. Before CES, many tech companies have started talking about their latest innovations. A few days ago we saw announcements from LG. Now Samsung has unveiled new QD-OLED TV panels. These are fourth generation TV panels, whose peak brightness is up to 4 thousand nits, which is more than 3 thousand nits in the previous generation. Apart from these panels, Samsung has also introduced rollable and foldable displays, which have been designed for smartphones and other devices.

reports According to Samsung, Samsung’s new QD-OLED panels will have 30 percent more brightness than before. This will be the brightest OLED panel available in the market. At CES 2025, Samsung Display plans to showcase a 77-inch prototype TV equipped with the new panel.

It is expected that Samsung’s new displays will be seen in its OLED TVs, which will be brought to the market in the future. However, the performance of the panels that will be brought in the market will be slightly adjusted. If explained in simple language, their peak brightness may not reach 4 thousand nits.

According to reports, apart from TV, QD-OLED display can also be installed in Samsung monitors. These are expected to be introduced in Samsung monitors ranging from 27 inches to 49 inches. These panels have been designed for different use cases like gaming, content creation etc.

These can be brought in Samsung’s Odyssey and Smart Monitor series. The company has also demonstrated technology related to flexible displays. It has brought a 5-inch rollable display for smartphones. Also, an 18-inch foldable panel has been prepared. These can be shown in CES 2025.
