Samsung launches Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 laptops, know the price and features

Samsung launched the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro series of laptops at the Galaxy Unpacked 2021 virtual event on Tuesday, April 27. Samsung Galaxy Book Pro and Galaxy Book Pro 360 laptops were launched in this series. Both the laptops come in screen sizes of 13.3 inches and 15 inches. Both have 11th generation Intel Core processor with Iris Xe graphics. Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 has 5G connectivity as well as support for S Pen stylus. This time Samsung has given a preloaded feature called Second Screen through which users will be able to see their laptop screen on the Galaxy Tab. Link to Windows and Microsoft Your Phone integration feature is also provided in them. Due to which uninterrupted connectivity can be established between the phone and laptop.

Due to the Corona virus epidemic, most people are working from home, hence the demand for laptops has increased significantly. With the Galaxy Book Pro models, Samsung will take advantage of this new trend and try to attract customers who are looking for a high-end laptop device.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro, Galaxy Book Pro 360 price, availability

The price of Samsung Galaxy Book Pro starts at $999 (approximately Rs 74,400) while the price of Galaxy Book Pro 360 starts at $1,199 (approximately Rs 89,300). Pre-order for both the laptops has started from yesterday. Samsung Galaxy Book Pro will be available in Mystic Blue, Mystic Silver, Mystic Pink and Mystic Gold color options. Whereas Galaxy Book Pro 360 can be purchased in Mystic Navy, Mystic Silver and Mystic Bronze shades. No announcement was made regarding the India launch of these new models in this global event.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro specifications

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro comes in two screen sizes – Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 13 and Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 15 variants. Which have 13.3 inch and 15 inch AMOLED display respectively. Although the specifications of both are similar. Both laptops come with full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) resolution and 11th-generation Intel Core i7 processors. Along with this, it has Intel Iris Xe graphics. Both come with up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB of NVMe SSD storage.

In terms of connectivity, there is Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth v5.1, Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C, USB 3.2, and 3.5mm headphone/microphone combo jack. The Galaxy Book Pro series also has an LTE variant that comes with a Nano SIM card slot.

Samsung has provided sound including AKG which supports Dolby Atmos audio technology. Both laptops also have a 720p webcam. Galaxy Book Pro models have a Pro Keyboard which has scissor mechanism and its travel length is one millimeter. The laptop also has a fingerprint reader.

Samsung has given 68Whr battery in Galaxy Book Pro 15. Whereas Galaxy Book Pro 13 has a 63Whr battery. Both have a 65W USB Type-C fast charger.

The size of Galaxy Book Pro 13 is 304.4×199.8×11.2 mm and weight is 0.88 kg. The larger Galaxy Book Pro 15 is 355.4×225.8×11.7mm in size and 1.05 kg in weight.

Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 specifications

Like Galaxy Book Pro, Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 has two different variants- Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 13 Which is with 13.3-inch Super AMOLED display. second variant Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 15 Which is with 15-inch Super AMOLED display. Both have full-HD (1,920×1,080 pixels) resolution and touchscreen support. These models have 11th-generation Intel Core i7 as processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics. The laptop has up to 32GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 1TB of NVMe SSD storage.

For connectivity, Galaxy Book Pro 360 has Wi-Fi 6 (Wi-Fi 6E Ready), Bluetooth v5.1, Thunderbolt 4, USB Type-C, and 3.5mm jack. The Galaxy Book Pro 360 13 also has an optional 5G connectivity option that works with the help of a built-in Nano SIM card.

Like the Galaxy Book Pro, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 models have AKG tuned speakers and support for Dolby Atmos audio. Both have Pro Keyboard and fingerprint reader.

Galaxy Book Pro 360 has a 65W USB Type-C fast charger. The Book Pro 360 13 has a 63Whr battery while the Galaxy Book Pro 360 15 has a 68Whr battery.

In dimensions, the size of Galaxy Book Pro 360 13 is 302.5×202.0x11.5mm and weight is 1.04 kg. (For Wi-Fi only models). The Galaxy Book Pro 360 15 measures 354.85×227.97×11.9mm in size and weighs 1.3 kg.
