Samsung Paytm Partnership Now Book Flight Bus Movie Tickets via Wallet All Details

Electronics brand Samsung on Thursday, June 13, announced a special partnership with One97 Communications Limited, the parent company of Paytm brand. Users will now be able to book flight, bus, movie and event tickets through Paytm on Samsung Wallet. The service has been started immediately. Both companies say that this partnership aims to increase the convenience of users by providing an easy and integrated booking experience directly through Samsung Wallet.

Samsung informed through a press release on Thursday that it has entered into a partnership with Paytm brand owner One97 Communications, in which Samsung Galaxy device users will now get access to Paytm’s service on Samsung Wallet. In this, users will be able to do flight and bus booking, movie ticket purchasing and event booking. The service has been started. The aim of both companies is to make the buying experience of their users easy and pleasant. Galaxy smartphone users using the Paytm app for flight, bus and movie bookings and the Paytm Insider app for event bookings will be able to add their tickets directly to Samsung Wallet using the ‘Add to Samsung Wallet’ functionality.

With this, Samsung Galaxy device users will be able to avoid long queues at ticket counters in airports, bus terminals, cinema halls, event locations etc. and will be able to take entry directly by showing the ticket stored in the wallet. Not only this, Samsung India and Paytm will soon offer discount offers of up to Rs 1,150 on the first booking on newly launched services.

As the Paytm app is considered a popular platform for Indians for travel and event booking, its partnership with Samsung opens up new ways for users to access Paytm services.

Speaking on the occasion, Madhur Chaturvedi, Senior Director, MX Business, Samsung India, said, “Samsung Wallet is a popular mobile tap and pay solution in India, which has been continuously evolving since its launch in 2017. We are pleased to launch new features on Samsung Wallet in collaboration with Paytm. These features allow Galaxy smartphone users to easily purchase bus and airline tickets, as well as movie and event tickets, without the need to switch between multiple apps. Additionally, users can access these tickets by swiping up on the home screen of their Galaxy smartphones.”
