Saturn Icy Moon Enceladus found rich with Phosphorus Vital Element For Life NASA news
Apart from Mars, space scientists have now given interesting information about another planet. This discovery is also linked to the hope of finding life outside the Earth. NASA’s JPL Of AccordingScientists have found phosphorus on the moon of Saturn. It has been found on its satellite Enceladus. Enceladus is the 6th largest moon of Saturn. Which is said to be covered with a layer of snow. Till now, this element has not been found in the oceans of any celestial body other than Earth.
Phosphorus has been found present in very high quantities on Enceladus. It is present in ice cubes. Phosphorus is said to be a very important element for life. This is called the basic element of DNA. NASA has made this discovery from the data of its Cassini mission. International level scientific team has contributed in this. The agency said it is present in ice grains containing phosphorus salts that are spread from Enceladus into space.
It has been said about this moon that there is an ocean beneath its surface. Due to this, water comes out from the cracks in the ice which is found at its south pole. It looks like a feather. The Cassini mission passed through this area several times from 2004 to 2017. After analyzing the data collected from here, scientists have come to the conclusion that minerals and organic substances are present in large quantities on this moon. Amino acid components have also been found in them which are related to life itself.
