It is said that due to the collision of the asteroid, such conditions were created on the Earth that breathing became difficult, and food items like trees, plants etc. also got destroyed on the Earth. For this reason they became extinct from the earth forever. But scientists have been finding fossils of dinosaurs from time to time, which has helped us to know about their types.

Scientists have found traces of a new species of dinosaurs in Brazil. These have been found in the Brazilian city of Araraquara. Footprints of a new species of dinosaur have been found here, after studying which the researchers have come to the conclusion that this species was not present in the records till now. In the 1980s, Guiseppe Leonardo, an Italian priest and paleontologist, claimed to have discovered dinosaur footprints. These were named Trackways. At that time no one paid much attention to it, but Leonardo, out of his curiosity, kept them safe and after a lot of investigation, handed them over to the Museum of Earth Sciences of Brazil in 1984. Where further investigation was done about them. After thorough investigation and comparison with other species of dinosaurs, a shocking truth came to light. These were indeed footprints of dinosaurs but belonged to a species that had not yet been recorded.

Researchers say that these dinosaurs had some different characteristics. Their tail was very long, toes were thin and soles were wide. They were agile and it is estimated that they were desert-dwelling dinosaurs. They lived on Earth about 125 million years ago.

Farlowichnus rapidus is the name given to this species. Although these were small in size. A study published in 2023 said that it was a carnivore that would have been 2 to 3 feet high. This discovery shows how dinosaurs may have adapted to Earth’s changing environment. The study has been published in Cretaceous Research.
