Scientists Say Humans 100 Times Deadlier Than Sharks

Humans are considered 100 times more dangerous than sharks. Scientists in UK have said this. BBC’s Report According to WHO, half of the wild animal population is now in danger of extinction because humans are exploiting these wild animals for their own use. One-third of them are either being killed for food, or are being used to make medicines, or are being used as pets.
When it comes to filling the stomach, among all the animals on earth, humans are the ones who need the most and different types of food. His needs are the highest compared to other animals. Now researchers have issued a warning saying that modern man has become 300 times more voracious. Dr. Rob Cook of the UK Center for Ecology and Hydrology in Wallingford, Oxfordshire, said that the size and scale of humans’ use of other animals is shocking. The research has been published in Communications Biology.
This has not been said merely on the basis of any guess. Researchers have studied data from 50 thousand different types of wild creatures, including animals, birds, reptiles, creatures living both on land and in water, and fish. Which are used by humans for different purposes. Of these, there are 14,663 species which are traded by humans. This is one third number. The most shocking thing is that 39 percent of these have reached the verge of extinction.
Scientists have called this time Anthropocene. This is said to be the time when humans have started having the greatest impact on the Earth’s climate and environment. Humans are domesticating most of the animals living on earth, due to which the natural world is taking a new shape. Scientists have warned that if humans continue to exploit wild animals for their own use, it could have disastrous consequences for biodiversity and the environment.
