Sitaare Zameen Par Ott release YouTube for Rs 100 Fees Date August 1 Details Inside

Aamir Khan’s recent hit film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ has changed the entire pattern of digital release in Bollywood. Instead of traditional OTT platforms, the film is now being released directly on YouTube (Aamir Khan Talkies) channel on the basis of ‘Pay-Per-View’ i.e. rent. Viewers can watch the film on YouTube sitting at home by paying just 100 rupees from 1 August 2025. This facility is available with local pricing in India as well as in 38 countries including America, UK, Canada, Australia.

Aamir Khan in a conversation with the media made it clear that only 2-3% of the Indian theater goes to watch the film and he chose YouTube to fill this gap, so that the film could be taken to an affordable price to every corner of the country. His intention is that through the Pay-Per-View model, a group of same family or friends could watch the film by paying 100 rupees only at once, so that the theater experience will also be given on digital. This fare will be valid for 48 hours.

In the film industry, Aamir Khan described the boundaries of OTT deals, older models of payment and increasing dancing of piracy as the main reason. He believes that due to public and spontaneous digital access like YouTube, everyone can easily buy/rent film from UPI and e-payment and if the demand-based viewership is correct, then both review and viewership will benefit the entire industry.

‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ will be available not only in India but also with local pricing for audiences around the world. The film is based on specially abused children, intensive education and human emotions, directed by RS Prasanna and stars like Aamir Khan, Genelia D’Souza played the lead role. The movie made a global collection of about Rs 260 crore after the theater release and was a super hit at the box office.
