Skoda First Electric Car in India Launch Set for 2025 Updated Version Coming Range 550 Km Rivals Tata Curvv EV
Skoda India Auto Brand Director Petr Janba spoke to news agency ANI (via business insider) reported that the launch of Skoda’s European bestseller, the Enyaq EV, has been postponed to next year. The reason behind this has been said to be the development of the updated version. Janeba says that the facelift of the model was planned in March. The company decided to hold the launch until this new version with Skoda’s latest design style was ready.
Not only this, Janeba also told that Skoda is planning to launch any one or all three of its existing three models in India. Currently the company’s portfolio includes Skoda Elroq, Skoda Enyaq and Skoda Enyaq Coupe models.
Currently the company is keeping a close eye on the changing EV policy of India. Skoda already has two manufacturing units in India in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar and Pune. The plan is to manufacture the EV at their Pune plant.
As we mentioned, the Skoda Enyaq electric SUV was introduced in the global market in 2022. The electric car comes equipped with advanced driver assist systems (ADAS), 360-degree camera, dual all-digital displays and a multifunction steering wheel. In the global market, Enyaq has been introduced in five trims, out of which the base model claims to have a range of up to 400 kilometers and the top model claims to have a range of up to 550 kilometers.
