Skoda Auto India recently re-launched the Skoda Superb luxury sedan in the Indian market. The new sedan is making a comeback in India after a gap of almost a year. The special thing is that only 100 of its units are being brought to India as CBU (Completely Built Unit). The Skoda Superb is offered in only one variant, L&K, which comes equipped with many luxury features. It has the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, TSI turbo petrol engine as before, which is capable of generating 190 horsepower and 320 nm peak torque.

Skoda has launched the Superb L&K trim in India at a price of Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom). It is offered in only one trim, of which only 100 units will be imported into the country. Let us tell you that unlike the third generation present in the international market, this is a second generation model. Skoda has introduced the new Superb in three color options – Rosso Brunello, Water World Green and Magic Black. Let us tell you that the price of the new model is Rs 16.7 lakh more than the top trim of the Superb which was discontinued last year. This difference in price may be due to it being brought in CBU form.

Talking about the powertrain, the Superb gets the same 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder, TSI turbo petrol engine, which produces 190 hp of power and 320 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 7-speed DSG gearbox, sending power to the front wheels. The engine is available in Kodiaq, VW Tiguan and several Audi models in India.

The car includes a 9-inch Columbus infotainment system and comes equipped with a 12-speaker Canton audio system. It has powered and ventilated front seats. There is also a massage function for the driver seat. Three-zone climate control is available in the car. There is also a roll-up sun visor for the rear windows and windscreen, along with dynamic chassis control technology and 9 airbags for safety.
