Processor performance in Android smartphones is usually estimated from the cores. The more cores there are in the processor, the better the performance is likely to be. Today, Qualcomm’s processor is considered the best for Android smartphones. Qualcomm’s latest processor is Snapdragon 835. When the company introduced the processor, how could smartphone makers lag behind in making it a part of their handsets? Samsung Galaxy S8 is the first smartphone to come with this processor. Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+
By the way, both these smartphones in India come with Exynos 8895 chipset. But in the international market this phone comes with Snapdragon 835 processor. Keeping in mind the strong processor, the company has provided 4 GB RAM in these handsets. Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 5.8-inch QuadHD+ (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Whereas, Samsung Galaxy S8+ has a 6.2 inch QuadHD+ (1440×2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The company has named it Infinity Display. Both smartphones have 12 megapixel ‘dual pixel’ rear cameras. Along with this, 8 megapixel front camera will also be available. The Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ have 3000 mAh and 3500 mAh batteries respectively. The price of Samsung Galaxy S8 in India has been kept at Rs 57,900. Whereas, Samsung Galaxy S8+ will be sold for Rs 64,900.
Xiaomi Mi 6
Xiaomi finally introduced its flagship smartphone Xiaomi Mi 6 after a long wait. The most important features of Xiaomi Mi 6 are the latest Snapdragon 835 processor, 6 GB RAM and dual rear camera setup.
In the Chinese market, the price of 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant of Xiaomi Mi 6 is 2,499 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 23,500). At the same time, the variant with 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage will be available for 2,899 Chinese Yuan (about Rs 27,000). The company has given a 5.15 inch display in Xiaomi Mi 6. The phone is equipped with 3D glass feature which gives a premium feel to the phone. The edges of the phone are made of stainless steel. The handset uses a 2.45 GHz 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor. It is clear that this smartphone will be launched in India soon. It is possible that this may be the first smartphone to come in India with Snapdragon 835 processor.
sony xperia xz premium
The Sony Xperia XZ Premium sports a 5.5-inch Triluminous HDR display with 4K (2160 x 3840) resolution. It has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor (Gigabit LTE speeds with X16 LTE modem) and Adreno 540 GPU for graphics. Has 4 GB RAM. It has 64 GB inbuilt storage which can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card. This phone has a 19-megapixel rear camera which comes with Sony’s new Motion Eye camera system. Looking at Sony’s strategy, we can expect this smartphone to be launched in India. This Sony smartphone was launched at the Mobile World Congress.

Sharp Aquos R has a 5.3 inch WQuadHD (2560 x 1440 pixels) IGZO display which is equipped with HDR 10 support. Aquos R has Snapdragon 835 64-bit octa-core processor. Sharp Aquos R has 4 GB RAM and 64 GB inbuilt storage. This phone is made of metal. The regret is that this smartphone is unlikely to be launched in India.
