You may have seen Jetpack Suit in films till now, but now it has become a reality and preparations are being made to include it in the Indian Army soon. PTI’s one Report According to the Indian Army, it has come to light that the Indian Army has purchased 130 drones and some jetpack suits. This will help in the ability of the army to monitor and deploy troops more actively on the border. Drones will be connected through a tether station on the ground, which will enable them to monitor for a long time at such a distance that the ordinary human eye cannot see.
There has also been talk of including jetpack suits in the army. Their price is said to be around Rs 3 to 4 crore. Till now, the Army has not disclosed the price at which the suits will be purchased. These suits run on gas turbine engines. Which will be able to fly in the air at a height of 10 to 15 meters. According to media reports, the Army is planning to buy 48 such suits. Each suit is said to have 5 gas turbine engines.
These jetpack suits can generate 1000hp power. Besides, they can also be run on jet fuel. They also have engine arms attached to their hands so that the person driving it can give it direction. It has been said by the Army that the weight of the jetpack suit should be less than 40kg and its capacity should be such that it can lift a soldier weighing twice its weight i.e. up to 80kg into the air. Also, it has been said by the Army that the manufacturing company will also have to keep in mind that 60 percent of the suit should be made in India.
