SpaceX launches world’s 1st 5G satellite The GroundBreaker by Sateliot How it Works

The recent Starship rocket launch test of Elon Musk’s space company SpaceX has failed, but the company is working rapidly on many more missions. According to reports, SpaceX has reportedly launched a satellite that is the first satellite in low-Earth orbit (LEO) to operate on the 5G cellular standard. Its name is called ‘The GroundBreaker’. In simple words, this and many other satellites like it will work as 5G mobile towers from space in the future.

10 kg satellite

of report According‘The Groundbreaker’ is a small satellite. Its weight is about 10 kg. On April 15, this satellite was sent into space from SpaceX’s launch facility at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

What work will satellite do?

This satellite was designed to communicate with mobile towers on the ground and bridge the gap in data networks around the world.

Who made the satellite?

‘The Groundbreaker’ has been developed by a company named Sateliot. It is the first satellite in the group of 250 low-Earth orbit satellites. Through these satellites, users will be able to switch between 5G towers installed on earth and 5G networks coming from space.

5G internet will change the world

When all the satellites like ‘The Groundbreaker’ start working and their services start reaching the users, then the world of 5G mobile internet will completely change. Users will be able to connect to satellite 5G networks directly on their devices without any hardware, antenna or modem.

Where will be the most benefit

These satellites will be most beneficial in those areas where mobile towers are not available. Users will be able to directly connect their devices to non-terrestrial 5G networks. They will not need any separate modem or hardware. The company hopes that its technology can provide internet connectivity to 85 percent of the earth’s area.
