SpaceX Starship rocket explodes for the second time but Elon Musk Preparing for third launch

SpaceX Starship Mission: The second attempt of Elon Musk’s company SpaceX failed last Saturday. The second test flight of the world’s heaviest rocket ‘Starship’ failed and the rocket exploded over the Gulf of Mexico. However, this has not affected the company’s plans. Just a day after the test flight failure, Elon Musk expressed hope in a post that SpaceX’s third Starship vehicle should be ready for launch in 3 to 4 weeks.

Musk expressed his intentions through the post. His company is not going to stop. It will test the world’s heaviest rocket until success is achieved. However, for the third test flight the company got permission from the US. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval has not been received yet. Space.com reports that the FAA is investigating what happened during the second test flight.

Starship Flight 3 hardware should be ready to fly in 3 to 4 weeks. There are three ships in final production in the high bay (as can be seen from the highway).

That mission was launched from South Texas, America. It was a 90-minute test flight, but it ended with a loud explosion just 8 minutes after launching. The report says that the second test flight touched some important aspects, among which the separation of the first stage was important. This separation could not be achieved in the first launch test held in April.

In the second test flight, all 33 Raptor engines of the rocket were seen burning for a sufficient period of time. The launch site also did not suffer much damage in this test. This is the reason why SpaceX now wants to move forward rapidly on the Starship project. Perhaps he felt that the third test flight would bring more success. If everything goes according to plan, the company will complete the third launch test of Starship before the end of this year.

What is Starship Rocket?

Starship is the world’s largest and heaviest rocket. It is also a reusable rocket. It mainly has two parts. The first is the passenger carry section, which will house the passengers, while the second is the super heavy rocket booster. Its length including the starship and booster is 394 feet (120 meters). Whereas the weight is 50 lakh kilograms. According to the information, the Starship rocket is capable of generating a thrust of 16 million pounds (70 meganewtons). This is almost twice as much as NASA’s Space Launch System (SLS) rocket.

Why the need for rocket?

If SpaceX is successful in its launch, then in future with the help of this rocket, humans can be taken to the Moon and Mars. With this, humans will not be limited to just Earth but will become a multi-planetary species. Elon Musk plans to establish a city on Mars in the future. Starship rocket will prove to be an important link for this.
