super earth discovered 9 times massive than earth with 18 hours rotation time

Finding another planet like Earth outside the solar system has always been an ambitious mission for space scientists. For years, space scientists have been searching for an outer planet full of rocks like Earth, which has its own atmosphere, and there are favorable conditions for life to flourish there. Astronomers have finally discovered such a planet.

Researchers have said that they have discovered a planet much bigger and heavier than Earth, but smaller than Neptune, which can be called Super Earth. This planet is orbiting a star in a dangerous manner. Its star is slightly smaller and slightly less bright than our Sun. This planet completes one rotation in 18 hours. That is, just as the Earth completes one rotation on its axis in 24 hours, a day of 18 hours is formed on the new planet. But the disappointing thing is that its surface is filled with molten rocks just like lava comes out of a volcano. And there is no possibility of life here at present.

With the help of James Webb Space Telescope, infrared observations have been made about this planet. Its atmosphere cannot support life. Because it has been found that the rocks on its surface are present in molten form and gases are constantly coming out from them which are filled in its atmosphere. That is, an ocean of magma is present here.

Space scientists have named it 55 Cancri e or Janssen. It is 8.8 times heavier than the Earth i.e. almost 9 times. It is being said that its atmosphere is filled with gases like carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide. But other gases like water vapor and sulfur dioxide may also be present here. The results obtained so far do not confirm what is actually present in its atmosphere. In the journal Nature Study has been published. Also, how dense its atmosphere is has not been confirmed.

The newly discovered planet is orbiting its star very closely. This is 1/25th of the distance between Mercury and the Sun in our solar system. Therefore, the temperature of this planet is blazing at 1725 degrees Celsius. It is said to be the hottest rocky planet ever. It is present in the Milky Way Galaxy and is 41 light years away from Earth.

During their search, scientists found this exoplanet which also showed signs of having an atmosphere. But it was finally said that no atmosphere can survive here. Because it is so close to its star that its atmosphere will be destroyed due to stellar radiation and winds. Despite this, the gases coming out of the lava present on the surface must be recreating its atmosphere. But one thing is clear about the planet that it is not habitable. Because it is so hot that water cannot remain in liquid form here, which is very important for life to flourish.
