Swiggy’s new membership plan launched, you will get unlimited free delivery! know how

Swiggy has launched an upgraded membership program called Swiggy One. This subscription plan is giving members free delivery, discounts and many other benefits on the services of all online delivery platforms for food, grocery etc. That means till now Swiggy used to provide this service only to its partner restaurants. But under this new plan, it is going to provide this service for all online food and grocery platforms. Swiggy says it will have more offerings in the coming months such as its pickup and drop service Swiggy Genie and additional discounts and benefits at Meet stores.

The new Swiggy One membership plan is priced at Rs 299 for the first three months and Rs 899 for the entire year. This means that a member will spend only Rs 75 a month under the annual plan. The plan is currently live in four cities including Lucknow, Pune, Trivandrum and Vijayawada. It is being said that in the next two weeks it will expand to more than 500 cities. Swiggy has confirmed that all existing Super subscribers will be automatically upgraded to Swiggy One for the remaining period of their active membership. They will also get a complimentary extension of one month on their existing plan.

Swiggy One subscription gives unlimited free delivery from over 70 thousand popular restaurants along with unlimited free Instamart delivery on all orders above Rs 99. All Swiggy One members can avail additional discount of up to 30 percent on their food orders from partner restaurants. The company says that Swiggy One will soon give its members a discount on Genie Delivery as well. Nothing has been clarified yet regarding when the extension will be available to users.

Just a few months ago, Swiggy’s rival Zomato introduced the Zomato Pro Plus subscription plan, which offers unlimited free delivery on the platform along with no surge fees and no distance fees. However, it has been introduced as an ‘Invite Only Membership’ system, which means only a select number of users have been able to subscribe to the Zomato Pro Plus membership.
