Tablet shipments increase more than 42 percent in India, samsung gets first rank, acer on second spot

The shipments of tablets in the country have increased by more than 42 percent last year. Samsung, the electronics maker in South Korea, ranks first in this market. Last year, the segment of commercial tablets has increased by about 69.7 percent on a year-on-year basis.

The government segment has recorded a growth of about 104.5 percent on a year-on-year basis due to the government funding projects. In this report, IDC’s analyst, Priyansh Tiwari has reported that some of the PC buyers have also shifted to this segment from better camera, software updates and app integration in Android tablets. Increasing the price of Notebook PC due to components being expensive is also a major reason behind the increase in sales of tablets.

This report said that more than 60 percent of the tablets of the tablets were from 60 percent of the tablets last year. The price of this tablets is $ 300 (about 26,300 rupees) or less. The average selling price (ASP) of the total shipments of tablets in the consumer segment increased from about $ 309 to about $ 336 last year. Samsung has secured the first position in the tablet’s market with about 42.6 percent stake. The Acer Group is second with about 18.7 percent stake in this market and the third place of American devices maker Apple (11 percent). China’s Lenovo and Xiaomi each have finished fourth with nine percent stake.
