Tata Motors Aims to Double Number of Ev Charging Stations in 2 years, Ola Electric

Tata Motors, who have a large stake in the market of electric vehicles (EV), plans to double the number of charging stations for EV in the country in two years. The company has said that by 2027 these charging stations will be increased to about four lakhs.

For this, a tie-up will be done with chargewint operators and oil marketing companies like Indian Oil Corporation and Bharat Petroleum Corporation. Tata Motors has also launched ‘Tata.Ev Mega Charger Network’ of about 500 fast charging stations rated at 120 kW. For this, tie-ups have been done with Tata Power, Chargezone, Statiq and Zeon. In this regard, Shailesh Chandra, managing director of Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, said, “This will increase the speed of charging, reliability and users’ experience. A unified charging helpline and payment solution is being introduced to help remove the possibility of customers. Is.”

EV sales in the last financial year in the country increased to about 90,432 units. There are about 1.5 lakh EV charging stations in India. Last year, a report stated that the EV in the country will require a capital experience of about Rs 16,000 crore by 2030 to meet the demand for public charging. Measures have also been taken by the Central Government to promote EV.

This information was given in the FICCI EV Public Charging Infrastructure Roadmap 2030 report. More than 700 cities were analyzed in this report. Of these, priority can be given to increase public charging infrastructure for top 20 cities and 20 highways. The report reported, “These top 40 cities are estimated to have more EVs in the next three-five years. The 20 highway connecting these 40 cities contribute about 50 percent of vehicles traffic.” There is no or less fixed tariff in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat. However, some other states have more fixed tariffs for charging. The capital is the leading place in the capital Delhi in terms of the number of EVs. About 11.5 percent of the total regictions of vehicles in Delhi are EVs. Charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in the capital is also being increased. After this, Kerala is with 11.1 percent EV.
