Reliance Jio launched its new ‘India’s Smartphone’ 4G Jio Phone this month. Mukesh Ambani announced in the 40th annual general meeting of Reliance Industries that Jio Phone will be made available at ‘effective zero price’. Which means that for Jio phone, a security of Rs 1,500 will have to be deposited which will be returned after 3 years. Jio phone has been launched but it will take some time to reach the hands of the users. Because beta testing of Jio Phone will start from August 15, but only for selected users. And if you are not able to become a beta tester then you will have to wait for the start of pre-booking i.e. 24th August. You will get both online and offline options to book this phone of Reliance Jio. TV-Cable Accessory
Along with Jio Phone, the company has also announced a TV-cable accessory. Through this accessory, JioPhone users will be able to watch Jio Prime services like movies, music, live TV on the big screen of their TV. This cable will work on both modern and CRT televisions. With the Rs 309 plan, users will be able to connect their Jio phone to their TV through a TV cable accessory, so that you can enjoy Jio services with your family.

NFC support will also be available in Jio phone. With which users will be able to make payment through UPI from their linked bank account or through POS machine instead of debit card. However, this feature will be available later through software update while the hardware is already available. This phone also has an integrated panic button which gets activated by pressing the number 5.

Jio phone supports voice commands. You can make a call by taking the name of any contact present in the phone through voice command. Apart from this, tasks like playing music and sending messages can also be done through voice commands. Reliance Jio 4G phone comes with support for 22 Indian languages.

All Jio apps – Jio Music, Jio Cinema will also be available in Jio phone. Apart from this, there are also bundle offers to access these apps in the prepaid plan of the phone, which means you will be able to enjoy streaming service even in a feature phone. Qualcomm and Spreadtrum processors
Reliance Jio’s 4G phone will come in two variants. Jio has partnered with Qualcomm and Spreadtrum for the phone’s processor. This phone has been confirmed to be launched with two processors: Qualcomm and Spreadtrum. Qualcomm has confirmed that the phone has the latest 205 mobile platform which is a 1.1 GHz dual core processor. It has an integrated X5 LTE global mode modem for VoLTE and supports multimode dual SIM. Apart from this, some units of the phone will also have Spreadtrum processor. Spreadtrum has informed that the company has partnered with Reliance Jio to become a partner in Digital Freedom.
