These are dual rear camera smartphones under Rs 15,000

Thinking of buying a new smartphone with dual rear camera? But don’t want to spend a lot of money? Today we will tell you about such dual camera smartphones which come in less than Rs 15,000 and perform better. The good thing is that we will tell you about the smartphones with dual rear cameras that we have reviewed. Earlier, we had given you information about the best smartphones and cheapest budget phones with 16 megapixel selfie camera.

coolpad cool 1 dual
Cool 1 Dual has two 13-megapixel rear cameras. One of these is a color sensor and the other is used for monochrome data. When used together, you can expect better image quality and photos with less noise in low light. But during use, this pair of cameras did not give the expected results every time. Noise is visible in low-light photos and detailing is generally very low. Colors improved when night mode was switched on, but not by much. In daylight, we sometimes complained of over-exposure in landscape and close-up shots. Colors were good, but subjects were not sharp.

Priced at Rs 13,999, the Coolpad Cool 1 Dual (Review) offers good performance for its price. Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset has been used in Cool 1 Dual. Its design is good and the display is also sharp. Battery life is great and there’s enough power for a variety of tasks. The lack of a microSD card slot is annoying. If you have to buy, do it online only so you will get more RAM at the same price.

Lenovo Phab 2 Plus
Lenovo launched the Phab 2 Plus smartphone in November last year. The biggest feature of this phone is the dual rear camera setup given in this phone.

Lenovo Phab 2 Plus has a 13-megapixel camera sensor that comes with laser auto focus and phase detection auto focus. The secondary camera is used for depth but we did not feel that it made any difference to the quality of the photos. We tried to take clean and clear pictures with the help of both the lenses but we did not see any difference. We would recommend you to use HDR mode for landscape photos in daylight. And without it the photos look quite dull. Photos from Phab 2 Plus provide good detailing in distant objects but macro shots were much better.

Priced at Rs 14,999, the Phab 2 Plus has everything that is expected from a smartphone in this segment. This phone has an octa-core MediaTek processor (MT8783), 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage. The design, display, software and audio quality of the phone are good. There doesn’t seem to be a need for a dual camera setup and other features also don’t seem very good. But the pictures taken from the camera are not too bad, especially the macro shots. Apart from this, we also liked HDR video recording in the phone.

But a phone like this should have a good processor and Lenovo has given a weak processor for augmented reality apps, graphics games and multitasking. The Fab 2 Plus heats up very quickly which is quite strange. We expected long battery life in the phone but in our test the battery life was average. read review

honor 6x
Honor 6X is a reliable smartphone in this price range. The metal body feels good in the hands. The phone looks good too. The Kirin 655 chipset isn’t as fast as the Redmi Note 4’s Snapdragon 625, but it handles most games and apps with ease.

The most important feature of Honor 6X is the dual camera setup. The second sensor captures depth information. By the way, during the review we felt that the dual camera setup is just a show. We were expecting better performance in low light. The battery is so powerful that It will last for a day. To be honest, there is nothing unique in Honor 6X, but it is a good alternative to Xiaomi Redmi Note.

Apart from this, LG X Cam is also available for less than Rs 15,000. It has a 5.2-inch full-HD in-cell display, 1.14 GHz octa-core processor, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB inbuilt storage. The handset has two rear cameras of 13 megapixels and 5 megapixels. The sensor of its front camera is 8 megapixels. Keep in mind that we have not reviewed this smartphone, so we cannot tell anything about the performance of this phone.
