Recently LG and Huawei made this feature a part of their handsets. It is also being claimed that the iPhone 7 Plus to be launched by the end of this year will be equipped with dual rear camera setup.

Honor V8 smartphone comes with two 12-megapixel rear cameras. The camera is equipped with dual-tone LED flash, laser autofocus and F/2.2 aperture. 6 element lenses have been used in these.

LG G5 has 16 megapixel and 8 megapixel rear camera. One camera has a 78 degree standard lens and the other has a 135 degree wide angle lens. This is the widest lens ever in a smartphone. According to LG, with the help of wide angle lens, users can easily capture more landscapes, tall buildings and subjects without moving from their place.
Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus
This Chinese smartphone manufacturer company launched its Huawei P9 and Huawei P9 Plus smartphones equipped with dual-lens camera in the month of April. Both the handsets come with two 12-megapixel rear cameras. One camera captures color photos and the other monochrome. The company says that with the help of contrast, depth and laser autofocus system, both the cameras will be able to take sharp and detailed photos in suitable lighting and low light.

LG had announced the LG X Cam smartphone during the Mobile World Congress this year. It was said that LG X Cam will have two rear cameras. This dual camera setup is same as LG G5. However, it has not been officially launched yet. But it is certain that users will be able to get the dual rear camera setup of the flagship handset LG G5 by spending less money for this phone.

Talking about camera setup, Chiku Q Terra smartphone is equipped with two 13-megapixel rear cameras with dual-tone LED flash. The company says that one 13-megapixel sensor will capture normal color images and the other will capture black and white images. By working together the color quality of the photo will be excellent. It has Sony IMX 278 color sensor and the other is IMX 214 monochrome sensor. The monochrome sensor can be used to capture HDR videos and 4K resolution photos. During the review, we found that the strengths of both the sensors provide good results. Indoor shots are not the best, but they cannot be called bad either. Low light photos are also satisfactory.

The Xolo Black smartphone also comes with a dual rear camera setup. One camera is of 13 megapixels and the other is of 2 megapixels. This setup increases the speed of autofocus and gives the option to refocus on different parts of the photo. The same dual-camera feature was also present in the HTC One M8 device. During the review, we found that the device autofocuses fast, but not very fast. The refocus feature also works well, but is not of much use.

HTC used dual camera technology back in 2014. HTC did not say much about its camera. But it is clear that you will not be able to take pictures or videos separately from the secondary camera. It is very much like a sensor. It works to further improve the pictures taken with the primary camera. In the HTC One M9+ handset launched in April this year, the company also provided a depth sensing camera along with a 20-megapixel primary shooter.
