Now the space agency has shared a photo of a large crater in which many layers are visible.

NASA has released a photo of a large crater on Mars. It has been named Prometheus Terra Crater. Layered structure has been found in it. Prometheus Terra Crater is a large impact crater in the southern hemisphere of Mars that has an island-like mesa-like surface. It was captured by NASA’s High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE).

The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment (HiRISE) is a camera that can capture extremely detailed high resolution images. It is mounted on NASA’s Mars Resonance Orbiter (MRO) spacecraft. The MRO spacecraft is part of NASA’s Mars Mission mission which has been orbiting Mars since 2006. Prometheus Terra Crater has long been a subject of interest to scientists. With the help of this crater, the agency will help in understanding the geology and climate of Mars. Also, this will help in finding out how Mars would have been formed.

HiRise camera installed on MRO University of Arizona Is controlled by. This is not the first time that this camera has detected a crater. Recently NASA had shared another amazing picture through this. This picture of the surface of Mars was very interesting in which a bear’s face was seen forming. Actually, according to NASA, these are two craters which are forming an eye-like shape due to their proximity. A circular outline is visible around them due to which the entire structure takes the shape of a bear’s face. It also suggested the possibility of a volcano which forms the shape of the bear’s nose.

HiRISE is said to be able to capture extremely high resolution photos. With its help, NASA has so far collected a lot of information about the surface of Mars. This camera is said to be quite powerful and it has also taken pictures of valleys, volcanoes etc. present on Mars. With their help, it is said that they will be of great help in understanding the geology of Mars. With its help, the agency is also trying to find evidence of water on Mars or life on Mars.
