How to change your name in PAN Card
Today we will tell you the steps to update the PAN card. So let’s first start with the name. There can be many reasons for changing the name in the PAN card (change of name after marriage or other reasons). It may also happen that the name is printed incorrectly in the PAN card. We will tell you how to update the name through Aadhaar eKYC. If your name is correct in the Aadhaar card, then follow the steps given below. If the name is not correct even in Aadhaar, then you will have to submit other documents. If you want, you can submit marriage certificate or other authentic documents such as passport etc.
These documents are required for PAN Card update
To update a PAN card, the same documents are required as are required for making a new PAN card. You will need documents for ID proof, address proof and date of birth. Documents like driving license, Aadhaar card etc. are required for ID proof. Electricity bill, water bill, voter ID card are required for address proof. Birth certificate, matriculation exam certificate etc. are required for date of birth.
How to update and reprint PAN card
1) To reprint or update PAN card NSDL Or UTITSL Visit the website. We went to the NSDL site and then we followed all these steps.
2) First go to the application type, then click on Changes or Correction in existing PAN Data / Reprint of PAN Card. After filling the required information, submit the captcha code.
3) After this you have to choose how you want to submit the documents for PAN. If you want, you can submit the documents through e-KYC but Aadhaar Card will be required for this. You can submit the scanned picture through e-Sign or send the document. We have submitted the documents through e-KYC. Wherever you see the red
symbol appears, fill in the information there and click on Next.

Enter your personal information in the marked field. Then click on Next.
5) Keep in mind that the information provided by you should match the details present on the Aadhaar card. If the information is different from the information present on the Aadhaar card, then you will not be able to complete the process. After payment, it will appear that both the information do not match each other. If this happens, then your money will be refunded. Therefore, it is advisable to double-check the information entered before clicking on the submit button.
6) After this, select the document that you want to attach with the application. After clicking on eKYC, we filled in the required information and clicked on Proceed.
7) After doing this you will see the fee amount. Indian citizens have to pay Rs 120 for reprint or update. Click on Pay Confirm to make the payment.
8) Enter the payment details and pay the amount. After this a new page will open which will show you that your transaction was successful. After this you will get the bank reference number and transaction number. Save both of these and then click on Continue.
9) After this, you will have to authenticate your Aadhaar. Tick the box below the Aadhaar card number and then click on Authenticate.
10) If your personal information matches with the information existing on the Aadhaar card, click on Continue with e-Sign / e-KYC.
11) After ticking the check box, click on Generate OTP.
12) After that enter OTP and click on submit button.13) After this a new page will open in front of you in which you will see the application form. Download it in PDF format, you will also receive it via email.
