Those smartphones which made some customers angry upon their launch

OnePlus 3 was launched at the beginning of the year. It was greatly appreciated. Many people also called it the best Android phone ever. It is not surprising that people have now adopted OnePlus 3T also. But many have also been disappointed. Users who were hesitant about purchasing a phone worth Rs 30,000 now have the option of a better version of a good phone. If you have bought OnePlus 3 then it is certain that you will feel bad. The OnePlus 3T has a better Snapdragon 821 chipset (the OnePlus 3 has a Snapdragon 820 processor), a higher resolution 16-megapixel front camera, and a larger 3400 mAh battery. Most users won’t notice much difference in performance. But the improvements made in the camera and battery departments will remain intact. We have also mentioned this in the review.

It is not that OnePlus is the only company which has done such an experiment with any of its products. Recently, many companies have disappointed the initial customers of their products by doing similar experiments. Let us introduce you to such products.

1) Moto G Turbo
The Moto G (Gen 3) was launched in July 2015. It was seen as a capable upgrade to the Moto G (Gen 2). It had gripper design, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB storage, IPX7 water resistance, better battery life and Snapdragon 410 quad-core chipset.

But the customers of this phone were shocked when within 4 months the company introduced Moto G Turbo Edition.

Its price was more than Rs 2,500 more than the Moto G (Gen 3). It has octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset, IP67 certification and turbo charger. With the help of turbo charger, the phone’s battery becomes capable of lasting up to 6 hours in just 15 minutes of charging.

2) Galaxy Note 5 Dual SIM
This year has not been good for the Galaxy Note series. But last year too, Samsung had angered early Note 5 customers as well.

The Galaxy Note 5 was launched in India in September 2015. This year was very interesting for the Note series. Generally, the Galaxy S series carried the same features as last year’s Note series. But this time the Galaxy Note 5 phone of Note series used glass and aluminum design like Galaxy S6. The 14-nanometer Exynos 7420 octa-core chipset was also used in this. With this, more RAM, bigger battery and stylus pen were provided.

Just four months later, Samsung introduced the dual SIM model of Galaxy Note 5. And there was no change in its price either. There is no doubt that the demand for phones with dual SIM card slots is high in markets like India and China. Knowing this, Samsung launched the single SIM variant first and did not even give any hint about the dual SIM variant, and introduced it after 4 months. In such a situation, the early customers of Note 5 were very angry.

3) Oppo F1s
Oppo F1S was launched in the month of August this year. It looks like an iPhone. The price is also not very high. Exclusive features like panorama selfies go in favor of the Oppo F1s.

But within three months the company has introduced an upgraded variant of Oppo F1S. It comes with 4 GB RAM instead of 3 GB RAM. Inbuilt storage has also been increased to 64 GB instead of 32 GB. There is a difference of only Rs 1,000 in the price of both. Considering the price difference, this is a huge upgrade. In such a situation, the initial customers will definitely be angry.

When other companies made their customers angry
Xiaomi Mi5 was launched in India in February 2016. In the month of September, the company launched Mi 5S in the market. However, this phone has not been launched in India yet. It is expected that the company will delay it a bit so that the early customers do not get angry.

Sony introduces a new product in its flagship Z series every 6 months. In such a situation, customers are sure to be disappointed. HTC has also created confusion many times with its products. The most recent example is the HTC 10 Evo, which the company introduced as a watered-down variant of the HTC 10. The surprising thing is that HTC 10 Evo is even better than HTC 10 in many ways, such as water resistance.
