TikTok released app for Apple Vision Pro headset

TikTok announced today that it has released an app for the Apple Vision Pro headset. The app is optimized for VisionOS’s spatial design style, giving TikTok a better viewing experience for its short-form videos. While other popular video streaming platform YouTube has not yet launched an official app for Vision Pro, however, it is in the works. Now there is no clarity about when it will arrive.

TikTok has launched its official app before YouTube. There is an official TikTok app available for Vision Pro, so now users can entertain themselves by scrolling through videos every day. The app has a familiar layout on Vision Pro, with a primary “for you” video feed along with profiles, comments, search, and more. TikTok is now available on Vision Pro’s App Store.

However, one thing to keep in mind is that TikTok is already popular for making spending 5 hours on the phone feel like just 5 minutes. Now I can’t even imagine what it would be like on a headset. If you are planning to open TikTok for just a few minutes and you find out that your Vision Pro’s fully charged battery is gone, then you should not be surprised. TikTok actually beats both YouTube and Netflix in the Vision Pro punch.

Some social media streaming video and streaming music apps are still available on the Apple Vision Pro, including Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, and WhatsApp. Recently developer Christian Selig has created an app called Juno for watching YouTube videos on Vision Pro.
